DO Terra Alta has hosted an immersion day dedicated to Garnacha Blanca with the participation of leading international wine experts and prescribers. The event welcomed Masters of Wine Sarah Jane Evans, Qian Janice Wang and Peter Richards, and was coordinated and moderated by Ferran Centelles.
The initiative combined technical tastings, vineyard and territory visits, and discussion sessions focused on exploring the identity of Garnacha Blanca and strengthening Terra Alta’s positioning as an international reference for the variety. Activities included a definition tasting held at the Wine Cathedral of Pinell de Brai, focused on the aromatic profile, structure and ageing potential of Garnacha Blanca, as well as a vertical tasting at the Poble Vell of Corbera d’Ebre. The event also included an immersion into the local landscape and gastronomy through a food pairing lunch featuring regional products.
As part of these technical tastings, several wines from LaFou Celler were tasted, including LaFou Els Amelers 2024, 2016 and 2011, as well as LaFou de Rams 2020.
