On the last weekend of October, the 29th edition of the Wine Festival in Terra Alta was held in Gandesa, a fair which attracted a large number of visitors and participating wineries.
The Festival closed its doors after a busy weekend which drew large crowds of visitors. The wine-tasting sessions organized by the DO (appellation of origin) were a huge success as all tastings were sold out. A total of 1,650 wine glasses were sold and around 13,000 wine-tasting samples were served.
The awards ceremony for the DO Terra Alta Wine Competition, at the 7ª Nit de les Garnatxes Blanques (7th edition of a festival in honour of White Grenache) also attracted a large number of visitors and 28 participating wineries. Highlights of the festival were; tasting of LaFou Amelers by the Regulatory Council, a visit by Mr. Marcos Mandojana -the US consul in Barcelona-, and a professional conference on the 7th of November at the Church in the old town of Corbera. All in all, this festival was a huge success for LaFou Winery.
