LaFou Celler presents its new project at Terra Alta: LaFou

LaFou Celler presents its third wine: LAFOU.
Made from Grenache, Syrah and Morenillo and with a more vigorous style, it is born with the clear intention of surprising the consumer and bring them to the work of the winery Terra Alta.

LaFou is a narrow pass where a stream or rainfall course opens up. This element so characteristic of Terra Alta landscape, is represented graphically with the new LaFou wine. The label becomes a fundamental element of communication, able to explain the meaning of the brand and give to know the territory.

LaFou is a wine that is characterized by the lightness of the red Grenache, a wine where the duality freshness-volume goes together and it fills their personality in the mouth.  The fresh fruit is combined with spices and licorice, which lengthen a memory debated between the sweetness and the tannins.

With LaFou it remains the philosophy of Lafou Celler and its principal reason for being: to offer wines that express the depth, the identity and the authenticity of the territory, Terra Alta. In this case, with a wine with a more groundbreaking image that, even maintaining the sobriety and style of the brand, it is able to transmit
clearly the meaning of LaFou.

LaFou: a young project fully consolidated

LaFou Celler was born as a result of the initiative of Ramon Roqueta, member of a family with a long tradition, which in year 2007 made a clear commitment for Terra Alta, one of the most important wine areas and with longest tradition at Catalonia, believing strongly on its great potential.

LaFou de Batea was the first wine of the winery, and surprised everybody obtaining the approval of the critic and the public. This let it become a reference wine in the region. The involvement with the territory and the autochthonous varieties was maintained with the second wine launched by the winery, LaFou Els Amelers, a white wine created to expand the virtues of White Grenache.
